What you need to know about Beck Theatre:

Beck Theatre is a thriving community space and theatre in Hayes. The auditorium seats 600 people and the programme is a mixture of music, theatre, dance, films and family shows.

Their big focus is on community, and the theatre is at the centre of youth theatre schemes and a yearly summer project. The other big highlight is the annual pantomime, which also showcases the skills of young performers.

The building opened in 1977 and is next door to a set of beautiful gardens and parkland.

  1. Each year, Beck Theatre runs a summer programme. Talented youngsters are invited to audition to perform in or help stage a piece of theatre alongside a team of professionals.
  2. Beck Youth Theatre is for children and young adults aged 8 – 19 years old. The performers are involved with regular productions at Beck Theatre and in the local area.
  3. In 1991, Beck Theatre was the site of an attempted bombing by the IRA when the Blues ad Royals Regiment was scheduled into play a concert.

Tube: The closest tube station is Uxbridge (Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines). From here, take the 427 or 607 bus. The journey lasts around 15 minutes.

Train: The closest train station is Hayes & Harlington. From here, take the number 90, H98 or 198 to Uxbridge County Court bus stop. The journey lasts around 10 minutes.

Parking: Beck Theatre has its own car park that is free for visitors to use. This includes 13 spaces for blue badge holders and four spaces for brown badge holders.

Beck Theatre is wheelchair accessible via a ramp to the right of the main entrance.

There are also eight wheelchair spaces available in the auditorium.

Accessible toilets are available.

The theatre has an induction loop system for use with hearing aids.

Working dogs are welcome in the theatre.

Beck Theatre is happy to arrange pre-performance tours of the stage area and set for visually-impaired visitors to the theatre. Please contact the box office to discuss this. 


Beck Theatre runs its own café/bar. Food orders are taken from 2 hours before the performance until 30 minutes before the performance. Their menu consists of burgers, curries, folded flat breads and also children’s meals. If you’re looking to eat, the theatre advises reserving a table in advance when you book tickets.

The bar also serves a range of drinks, light snacks and sweet treats.
