Meet Doralee, Judy and Violet, three workmates who decide to put an end to the egotistical treatment from their boss by planning to kidnap him. Could a sudden visit from the CEO put their plans at risk, or will the girls manage to reform the office?
9 to 5 The Musical takes inspiration from the hit film and is written by Patricia Resnick, who created the original screenplay, while music and lyrics are provided by legendary country artist Dolly Parton.
Louise Redknapp, who plays Violet, is a successful singer and actor. Her career with pop group Eternal and successive solo venture saw Louise sell millions of records. She recently starred as Sally Bowles in the national tour of Cabaret.
Winner of Love Island 2017, Amber Davies plays Judy in the show. A newcomer to the West End, Amber trained in musical theatre at the Urdang Academy, featuring in various shows during her training including Memphis.
Taking on the role of Doralee, Natalie McQueen is currently appearing as Lauren in Kinky Boots and has a string of West End roles under her belt.
Well-known actor and TV star Brian Conley is cast as Franklin Hart. His theatre credits include Hairspray and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, while ITV’s The Brian Conley Show had great success.
Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical runs from 28 January to 31 August 2019 at the Savoy Theatre.
