About the show
Smash-hit French musical Notre Dame De Paris swings into the London Coliseum.
The internationally successful musical Notre Dame De Paris returns to London for a strictly limited run of seven performances only. The musical is based on the famous novel by Victor Hugo, author of Les Misérables. Richard Cocciante wrote the music, while Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics.
Quasimodo is the cathedral bell-ringer. Physically deformed with a curved back and facial disfigurement, all those who live nearby shun him. The surprise arrival of Esmeralda, a beguilingly beautiful gypsy woman, leads to Quasimodo being tricked into kidnapping her at the bequest of another man.
Caught in the act, he suffers a terrible punishment. This is made better only by the appearance of Esmeralda to give him water. This moment of kindness causes Quasimodo to fall deeply in love with her. It is a love that endures a tragic ending.
An international ensemble of singers, dancers, acrobats and musicians performs this stage adaptation of the classic story. It is a feast for the senses and an unforgettable night at the theatre.
Notre Dame De Paris arrives at the London Coliseum having previously toured to 23 different countries over the past 20 years. The production also earned itself a mention in the Guinness Book of Records for having the most successful first year ever of any musical.
Please note that since Notre Dame De Paris is only playing at the London Coliseum for a very short run, we recommend booking early.
Notre Dame De Paris runs from 23 – 27 January 2019 at London Coliseum.
